Bullock Texas State History Museum /// Let True North Lead You /// Emily + Keith

austin bullock texas history museum wedding photo 03Sometimes our clients come to us with love stories that may have been a year in the making. Or seven years in the making....or even a lifetime, like in the case of several childhood-sweetheart weddings we have filmed. However, the love story we are about to share with you today is extremely unique: it began even before the bride and groom were born. As Emily and Keith were planning their wedding, they discovered their families had been good friends and had run in the same circles for generations--one example being that Keith now works in the same place that Emily's grandfather had worked for 30 years. Keith's mother grew up next door to Emily's great-grandmother. A family heirloom that had been gifted from Emily's family to Keith's family many years ago stood in the entrance to the reception as a physical symbol of how "God had a hand” in their love story all along. Their officiant, Jon Dansby, said it best when he said that “What it really means is that God is writing Emily and Keith a special story, for his glory and for their joy."

Please enjoy their wedding video--filmed at UBC and the Bullock Texas State History Museum. It is truly a wedding celebrating the heritage, legacy, and faith in God that brought this couple together. Emily took special care to make sure that her guests would enjoy all the serendipitous details that brought the couple together. The ceremony site, UBC, was chosen for of two reasons: it was where the groom was baptized as well as where Emily's grandparents were married in 1947. The bride placed her grandmother's wedding dress and photos from that 1947 wedding at the entrance to the UBC sanctuary. The bridesmaids wore sparkling gold gowns and the flower girls donned flower crowns but nothing was more radiant than the bride in a pair of Kendra Scott earrings.

austin bullock texas history museum wedding photo 07austin bullock texas history museum wedding photo 06austin bullock texas history museum wedding photo 21Guests gathered for the reception at the Bullock Texas State History Museum. They danced the night away surrounded by marble walls engraved with famous quotes professing love for the state of Texas. The couple danced their first dance in front of a two-story granite wall chiseled with the most perfect Barbara Jordan quote: "I get from the soil and spirit of Texas the feeling that there are no limits." With the way their story has begun, we truly believe that there are no limits for this special couple. austin bullock texas history museum wedding photo 11austin bullock texas history museum wedding photo 17austin bullock texas history museum wedding photo 23

Brazos Hall /// TCU College Romance /// Sarah + Ryker, the sneak peek

austin texas brazos hall wedding pic brock and co planner03We can't believe Sarah + Ryker's wedding has already happened --it doesn't seem like it was that long ago that we met them in our office on South Congress.  The bride and groom had just traveled into Austin to celebrate Thanksgiving, and so we were all in a cheery holiday mood as we sat down to chat with them about their wedding.    From our very first conversations with them, what stuck out to us about this couple is their joyfulness--Sarah is always smiling and Ryker has the kind of comedic timing that would steal the show of any hollywood blockbuster. It was no surprise to us that their wedding weekend featured some of the wittiest speeches from the father of the bride and Ryker himself. From their Texas style BBQ rehearsal dinner feast at County Line on 2222 to their Hill Country ceremony and downtown reception at Brazos Hall, this wedding was a sweet buffet of the tastes of Austin. While we are finishing the edit of their full wedding video in our studios, please enjoy this sneak peek of the first moments!

austin texas brazos hall wedding pic brock and co planner09The bride and groom both got ready at Omni Barton Creek Resort. The abundance of natural light in the suites at Barton Creek was perfect for showing off the beautiful textures and details in the wedding dress. A blushing bride's face and skin just seems to glow so much more in natural light! austin texas brazos hall wedding pic brock and co planner10austin texas brazos hall wedding pic brock and co planner06austin texas brazos hall wedding pic brock and co planner07austin texas brazos hall wedding pic brock and co planner08Because their wedding was coordinated and designed by Brock + Co, we already knew we were going to experience a gorgeous visual feast at Brazos Hall. The historic warehouse was converted into a romantic, rustic ballroom with a hammered bronze dance floor that reflected the light of the chandeliers as Ryker and Sarah danced their first dance as husband and wife. Guests gathered around farm-style banquet tables that were laden with stunning gold-dipped crystal. The rustic wooden columns were draped with pink and cream linens, and the bride wore a flower crown as she mingled with guests. It was breathtaking! austin texas brazos hall wedding pic brock and co planner11austin texas brazos hall wedding pic brock and co planner16 austin texas brazos hall wedding pic brock and co planner17 austin texas brazos hall wedding pic brock and co planner14Sarah + Ryker met at Texas Christian University (Go Horned Frogs!), and so the couple was quick to celebrate TCU at their wedding  any chance they had!  The groom wore a secret TCU shirt under his tuxedo, and because he competed as an athlete on the swim team, his groom's cake was the envy of any TCU pinterest board---a custom cake of a TCU horned frog with swimming goggles.  (Credit:  Sweet Treets Bakery) austin texas brazos hall wedding pic brock and co planner12austin texas brazos hall wedding pic brock and co planner18austin texas brazos hall wedding pic brock and co planner19Sarah+ Ryker,

Thank you for choosing us to create your wedding video.  We have been talking in our meetings about how much we adore the footage from your weekend--we will never forget the moment you held hands around a door before the ceremony.  It may be one of the most sweet moments we've ever witnessed in our lives, not just in the course of filmmaking, but in the course of our lives.  Your wedding reminds us that marriages are full of joy, laughter, tears, and the support of family and friends.  We hope you always enjoy these memories!

Four Seasons Hotel Dallas /// #AintNoMountainHighEnough /// Lexi + Ben, the full film Heirloom

Dallas Four Seasons Wedding DFW Events 38

We're excited to share another fabulous wedding coordinated by DFW Events in Dallas.  We've been working with them for almost a decade; so, when they introduced us to Lexi and Ben, we knew we would love working for these clients!  From their mountaintop proposal story to their passion for their (super cute) puppies, Lexi + Ben's wedding was everything a Spring wedding should be:  joyous, relaxed, and filled with laughter.  Lexi and Ben are originally from different cities, and through a series of events, separate hurricanes brought each of them to live in Austin, TX.  On the wedding day, rain clouds gathered overhead late in the evening, but no one was alarmed.... the outpouring of the heavens was like a rainfall of joy celebrating the love of this couple.

[vimeo]https://vimeo.com/133746894[/vimeo]

When we arrived at the Four Seasons in Las Colinas, it was obvious that everyone in the bridal party felt pretty relaxed--even with all the buzz about the Music awards being held in Dallas.  Jones ran into Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) while he was out filming landscape shots. He's like a magnet for celebrity run-ins!

Keeping the entire wedding day in one location allowed for the day to unfold in a very relaxed way--as they got ready, the girls could look out their windows to the lawn where the ceremony would happen.   The bridal party only had to walk a few hundred feet to the ceremony site that looked out over a beautiful pond on the Four Seasons golf course.  Even better, the bride's parents were able to arrange for a seriously cool surprise for the bride and groom:  a second line brass band met Lexi + Ben as they exited the ceremony, and they danced their way straight up to the reception pavilion.  What fun!

If you want to see more second line goodness, watch this second line tradition from a wedding in New Orleans.  We just love filming those fun traditions! dallas four seasons wedding dfw events 041 dallas four seasons wedding dfw events 044 dallas four seasons wedding dfw events 045 dallas four seasons wedding dfw events 046 dallas four seasons wedding dfw events 047 dallas four seasons wedding dfw events 048 dallas four seasons wedding dfw events 049 dallas four seasons wedding dfw events 050Dallas Four Seasons Wedding DFW Events 37dallas four seasons wedding dfw events 051Dallas Four Seasons Wedding DFW Events 22 dallas four seasons wedding dfw events 053dallas four seasons wedding dfw events 054Dallas Four Seasons Wedding DFW Events 27

Lexi and Ben,

We are so honored to have created your wedding film for you--we keep talking about how pleasant your family is, and how refreshing it is to be around so many smiling people.  Ben, the story of Nardos Imam creating an entirely new dress for your mother two days before the wedding (amazing!!!)  is such a great example of how your community knows how to turn lemons into even better lemonade and enjoy every second of life.   We hope you always enjoy even the darkest rainstorm, keep riding that fast train, and zing-zing-boom-boom-bam forever!

xoxo

Laguna Gloria Romantic Wedding /// #nobodyelskesbutyou /// Marianna + Jimmy, the memory tin

laguna gloria austin wedding 005Today we have another beautiful celebration to share.  It is a story where "love" is the very name of the couple, and it is a story where the acts of love echo through each generation, from grandparent, to parent, to child. Our favorite detail of the couple's story was perhaps the hardest to even see--a delicate charm that hung from the bride's bouquet.  The charm's history was very unique, and almost prophetic:  Before Marianna was even born, her grandfather gave her mother a charm each year that says "I love you" on it, and each year the phrase was etched in a different language.   The reason Marianna carried this particular charm on her wedding data is because it said "I Love You" in Swedish, which happens to be the exact last name of her groom, Jimmy.

Jimmy, that's why there's #NobodyELSKESbutYou for Marianna! :)

The air was fragrant with raindrops as the day unfolded across the foothills of Austin.  Beginning in the bride's childhood home, we next traveled to the wedding ceremony that was occurring in the same sanctuary where the parents of the bride were married. The evening finished with a short burst of sunshine at sunset over Marianna & Jimmy's black-tie garden reception, where the Tuscan-style villa was surrounded by a sprinkle of seashells, macaroons, and exotic taxidermy.  Guests were greeted at cocktail hour by a cheerful mariachi band.  The menus and other portions of the paper suite from the wedding were hand-painted by Marianna's mother, who is a watercolor artist. In these ways, the wedding of Marianna and Jimmy was truly like a journey home.

Shakespeare wrote that "that which we call a rose, by any other name would smell as sweet." Marianna and Jimmy, even if your last name didn't translate to the word "love," we know it is who you are because of the joy we have witnessed between the two of you.   We wish you all the best life has to offer!

Brazos Hall /// #mrandmrsmarkrich /// Sarah + Mark, the full film

downtown austin brazos hall wedding 02Sarah + Mark's wedding was a FUN, over-the-top experience set in the heart of downtown Austin with guests that had traveled from the east and west coasts to celebrate these two lovebirds! From a hilarious game of Pictionary played by the groomsmen during preps to the Aggie-Longhorn sing-off at the end of the night, this wedding was filled with smiles and laughter from beginning to end. Enjoy their full film below! Sarah and her bridesmaids got ready at a quaint mid-century inspired home just down the street where her dress hung in the window of a beautiful blue room and vintage tunes echoed from the record player. When Sarah's mother came in to show the bridesmaids her dress, the resident bulldog barked in approval, causing everyone to laugh in surprise. Nearby at the church, the groomsmen entertained Mark with a game of Pictionary as they all had their boutonnieres pinned on by Beth Walker's expert team of coordinators. brazos hall austin wedding 36th street events 21 brazos hall austin wedding 36th street events 22 brazos hall austin wedding 36th street events 23brazos hall austin wedding 36th street events 25 During the ceremony, the officiant spoke of marriage and its core consisting of two things: covenant and love. Covenant is more than a promise, more than a contract; it is a commitment. It is to be cherished and protected and thought of as more than a temporary situation. It is a vow to pursue one another each and everyday (despite how each might feel that day.) He said, “What we want for you all is to have a marriage that is deep and intimate and full of joy, and we believe that as you live the marriage that God has called you to, you'll have a marriage that is abundant." brazos hall austin wedding 36th street events 27 brazos hall austin wedding 36th street events 29 brazos hall austin wedding 36th street events 30 brazos hall austin wedding 36th street events 31 brazos hall austin wedding 36th street events 32 brazos hall austin wedding 36th street events 33 brazos hall austin wedding 36th street events 34 brazos hall austin wedding 36th street events 35 brazos hall austin wedding 36th street events 36

Sarah + Mark,

As you continue forward in your life together, we hope that each day you are reminded of the covenant you made and the love that was shared in this moment, and that the memory of this joy is a guide that inspires your future adventures together. May you always have as much fun as you did during that spectacular drum solo!
